If a package moves from Eclipse 3.7 to 3.8, will the old plugins that are no longer in use be automatically deleted?

The older versions of the plugins will automatically be removed when the software is upgraded. This is one of the areas that a common plugin pool across versions of Eclipse's failed as newer Eclipse's can be incompatible with older profile definitions causing older Eclipse's to remove newer plugins. In Pulse we had to do significant work to work around limitations of Eclipse in this area which by the complexity introduced risk that we are working to avoid in SDC to ensure a smoother experience for your users. | |
